Steel pot M1 helmet?

Does anyone know if the liner from an M1 helmet can be worn as a hard hat? I need to know if it meets ANSI standards and where I can find proof, if it does, already checked the ANSI site and found nothing.

It does not meet safety standards. You should put that sucker on ebay, it’s worth alot.
