Total noob guitar question…Playing Metal?
I just picked up a guitar… trying to learn a new hobby, ,,, Im trying some songs…Fade to black(which Im kinda getting down)…Nothing else matters….. and November Rain(the solo by Slash)…
Im wondering how you can get the sound to sustain, as slash does in November rain…is there any peddels involed… or other amp effects?
(and yes I know it takes years to play songs as slash or KH does)…

Spider Line 6 amp…
Put the master volume on the Line 6 to 2 and set the Gain up to 10. THat will give a nice distortion. Other than that, get a Boss DS-1 distortion to get sustain.
