How long can a cap be off before seeing a dentist?

My daughter is 4 years old. She had a cap put on one of her teeth about 2 months ago. It just fell off when she was eating something. The dentist isn’t able to see her for 4 days. Is that too long? I am just worried she will eat something and it will get back there and do something to the nerve or something.

no, that length of time should be fine-most caps at this age are Stainless Steel, and they are usually placed in concert with a pulpotomy, therefore the tooth should not hurt…good luck
