Trying to understand my welder (electrical help)?

These are the specs for my Clarke Welder 140en Fluxcore/Mig welder

Primary (Input) Volts: 120v
Primary (input) Amps: 20 Amps
Single Phase
Frequency: 60hz
Secondary (output) volts: 17.5
Secondary (CSA output) amps: 65
Open Circuit Volts (Max.): 34Vd
Duty Cycle Rating: 20%

The amperage in the section where my washer and dryer are located is 30 amps. I was wondering what single phase, Secondary CSA output, and Open Circuit Volts means in terms of whether or not It will work in my house?

Also, is there any other information that I need to provide?

Single phase means that your welder doesn’t have a motor and can work on various AC voltages (there’s more to it but, this isn’t Electricity 101).

Output volts/amps are what comes out of the sparkie end. Similar to how your cell phone charger reduces 110v to 9v through it’s transformer.

(CSA= Confederate States of America! Ha! It’s also like a ‘UL’ lab standard).

…are you…are you going to set up a shop in your laundry room?

If you are, I wouldn’t run your washer/dryer while you’re welding.

Water…. Electricity….meh.
Also, you’ll blow the fuse, probably (most likely).

If you’re going to run a 20amp welder on a 30a fuse at 110v you’ll be fine but, like I said, you may want to shut other stuff that’s sharing the circuit off before using it (air compressor, garage fridge/freezer, etc.)
