Outer Cover Lens
How much does it cost to repair my Canon Powershot SD1200?
I bought it 3 weeks ago and today my friend accidentally dropped it onto the floor. The outer circle the covers the lens (where it says the zoom lens) popped off….everything else is still fine. i still am able to
I still have the canon 1 Year Warranty but they don’t cover drops….
I wanted to know if I should bring it in to Best Buy to repair or go to a canon location…
I think your best bet is to bring it to Canon, but don’t get your expectations too high as this might be a costly repair.
You are right drops are not covered by the warranty and last time I tried to get service on a dropped Canon s410, they were asking for over 200$ so I decided to fix it myself (not recommended unless you have some technical expertise) and succeeded.
