Any reasons why stars may be better than stripes?

In your opinion why ar stars better than stripes? This is for a debate in english.

Because you have seen people in jail wearing stripes (years ago) and never stars. Therefore stripes MUST be bad.

Point two: would you rather be a famous STAR, or a famous STRIPE??
