Table Steel Base

How do I shorten a steel pole that’s part of a table base?

I have a Stainless Steel round table base with a pole attached. Before I attach the base to the top, I need to shorten the pole otherwise the base + top is too high for dining.

I don’t know what the pole is made of, But you can try using a pipe cutter that they use to cut galvanized pipe with, nice clean cuts…….Or go to a plumbing store and see if they can cut the legs for you…….Of course you’ll have to take the legs off…..
