Plasma cutting – how accurate is the cut?
I’m considering buying a plasma cutting machine/table and I need to know how accurate the cuttting is. For instance if I was to cut a diamond shape in some Stainless Steel, would the plasma torch cut the top and button point of the diamond really sharp or would it slightly leave a rounded edge?
Is the quality and accuracy of a plasma similar to cutting with a laser.
this all depends on the thickness and the grade of material
i have wiorked a Plasma Cutter in the past and there very accurate depending on the brand you get
a plasma is good for approx +/- .015″
a high-definition plasma will get you a good +/- .007″
and a laser plasma cutter will be close to +/- .003″
but there high maintance
