Welding Helmet Out

im looking at taking a beginners welding course. what kind of helmet do i need and how much should it cost?

i dont want to spend a fortune for a helmet right out the gate. any suggestions on a brand name or style i should be looking for. can i get a decent one to do me for the course for like under $50?
