hurt at work and fired can i build a case?

i was blinded by a plasma cutter ( flash) at work. When anyone gets flashed you don’t know you got it until you wake up in the middle of the night in pain. Went to hospital doctor told me i was not aloud to drive or work for 24 hours because i was temporally blind. took hospital papers in to work and was fired on the spot. In my line of work getting welders flash is a common thing for all employees it happens. an ex co worker from the same company got flashed a few months ago and was told to stay home and did not go to the hospital and he still has his job. I think because i went to the hospital is why i got fired. every job in pa says you get a write up or even terminated if you call off unless you have a doctors excuse . can anyone tell me if the company i worked for broke the pa labor relations law.
and i did wear u – v safty glasses , it was the thickness of steel i was cuttig made the flash greater than normal.

This appears to be a violation of PA Workers Compensation law.

However, if you contributed to the injury (were you wearing protective eyewear; was it required??) then this could be a reason.
