Tig welding regulator?

Can anyone tell me how a scratch start tig torches argon pipe attaches to the regulator, is there some kind of fitting I am missing or what. the pipe has an attachment on the end for a commercial cylinder regulator but I want to use it with a disposable argon gas bottle. I was told by a shop today the clear plastic pipe just pushes onto the disposable gas bottle regulator is this correct.

That does not sound right. Go to any welding supply house in your area they will/should have most all the fitting to hook up you outfit.
