I bought a bernzomatic MAPP gas torch, any safety tips?

Do I need to wear UV protectant eyewear?
Any good safety tips you can suggest?

Good Yellow tool for sweating pipes. I keep my trigger on the bottle and do not remove it until it is empty, they can and do leak from time to time. Store away from heat. Use with caution, gloves and safety glasses are a good idea. I use mine often and never had any problems with it
