what happens when i put a 1000 wat , 36 volt motor on my electric scooter?

I have a schwinn 750 wats, 36 volts, and i was wondering what would happen if i would buy and put a 1000 wat , 36 volt motor, would it have more power , would it go faster? would battery die faster? what would happen? if i would add an extra battery (the normal one has 3 sets of 13 volts each, ) what if i would add another 13 volts ? please help, best longest answer, 10 points guaranteed.

More power will be available from it depending on the position of the throttle. When the throttle is wide open then yes, it will be faster and accelerate better than the existing 750 watt motor. It will also deplete the battery faster. However, for any specific speed or rate of acceleration, if that same speed or rate of acceleration can be matched by the 750 watt motor, then it will deplete the battery at the same rate. Only when a load, above and beyond what the 750 watt battery is capable of delivering, will it deplete the battery faster. There will also be an small penalty based on the fact that the 1000 watt motor is probably a little heavier, and therefore, requires a little more current at any specific speed or load than the 750 watt motor. I can elaborate if you want.
